We provide a range of heating services for residential home owners, small and large businesses, and farmers who are all within our delivery area. For your convenience, we recently expanded our delivery area to Hershey, Grantville, Kutztown, Reading and Allentown.
Propane gas, also called LPG, is used to heat our homes and hot water, for cooking, grilling and to fuel our cars. Propane is also used by businesses and agricultural for all sorts of applications.
We use home heating oil for residential owners and business owners. Heating oil is a thin liquid petroleum that is often used as the fuel of choice for furnaces or boilers in buildings. It is very similar to diesel fuel, which is another product that we sell.
Bio diesel is an animal fat or vegetable oil based diesel fuel that is used for diesel engines as well as a low carbon alternative to heating oil.
Kerosene is a thin, clear hydrocarbon liquid that is most commonly used in jet and rocket engines. It is also used for cooking and as a lighting fuel.
Gasoline is also a clear petroleum based liquid that is commonly used to fuel internal combustion engines. It contains a variety of additives that makes it easy to ignite.

The oil we supply homes and businesses is a refined version of crude oil. If crude oil prices rise, then the price for heating oil will rise. Supply and demand for petroleum products like propane, home heating oil and diesel fuel changes over time, and the winter season sees more demand than in the summer.

We offer payment solutions to fit any budget. In addition to our payment options we also support energy assistance for low income families.
All customers who wish to charge the delivery and pay it later are required to fill out a credit application. If the credit application is approved, you will be able to charge the delivery to your account. You receive a bill at the time of your delivery. The driver will leave a yellow delivery slip. On this delivery slip you will find the number of gallons, price per gallon, total of the bill, and the discounted and non-discounted prices. Use the provided envelope to mail in your payment.
All accounts are Cash On Delivery unless you fill out a credit application and your application is approved. Residential accounts that have completed a credit application have a policy of balance due within thirty (30) days.
The non-discounted price is the price at the bottom of your ticket. This is the price if you pay after 10 days but before 30 days. The discounted price is the three cent discount we offer if the balance is paid within 10 days. This is the price you are quoted when you place an order.
We accept Cash, Money Order, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If you wish to pay by personal check we do require you to fill out a credit application and that the application is approved.

LIHEAP stands for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. With oil prices fluctuating throughout the year, it’s important for residential home owners to be able to afford sufficient oil heating during the winter months. LIHEAP is a grant funded program that helps low-income families pay their heating bills.
We are happy to announce that we do participate in the PA LIHEAP program, helping to provide families with low-cost heating solutions for the cold winter season. For more information about the program, please check out the Energy Assistance section of our website where you’ll find links and numbers for LIHEAP and other participating organizations that will be able to assist you in our primary service areas of: Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh Northampton and Schuylkill counties.

We offer Automatic, Scheduled, and Will-Call Deliveries.
Automatic delivery means that you can put your mind at ease and be assured we will deliver your propane or heating oil automatically as needed. This is the easiest way to assure that you do not run out of fuel. You do not need to monitor your own tank or call us for a delivery.
Scheduled delivery means that we automatically deliver to you after a pre-determined time period has elapsed. Scheduled deliveries are helpful if your use is not consistent and automatic heating degree day delivery is not an option. You do not need to monitor your tank or call us for a delivery.
Will-call delivery means that you will continue to monitor your own tank and call us when you need a delivery. With will-call, you accept responsibility for monitoring your own gauge and calling our office to schedule your delivery of fuel or propane. If you run out of fuel and a special delivery must be made, you will incur an additional delivery fee.
Heating degree days are an indication of how cold it is on any given day and how much fuel you will require. The National Weather Service provides us with this information daily. After we fill your tank, we keep track of the degree days to ensure we deliver oil when you need it.
The easiest way to explain this concept is using your car and how it uses gasoline as an example: Your car uses gasoline as you drive. How much gas your car uses is measured in Miles Per Gallon (MPG). By knowing how many gallons your car’s gasoline tank holds, and how many miles per gallon your car provides, you can estimate when you will need to refuel your tank.
Automatic delivery uses the same concept. We know how much fuel your tank holds when it is full, and we multiply it by the (Miles Per Gallon) of your house, which is known as the K-Factor. This tells us “how far” your house can go before you will need more fuel.
At Countryside Fuel and LP Gas, our goal is to go above and beyond our customers’ oil heating expectations. We will always do our absolute best to deliver your order of fuel whenever you need it, regardless of the weather.
Our minimum fuel delivery at the quoted cash price is 150 gallons. We will deliver less than 150 gallons for an additional $.10 per gallon. We do not schedule deliveries for quantities less than 100 gallons. If any delivery takes less than 100 gallons, we do add a $35 delivery charge.

Yes, heating oil is not only safe, but it burns cleaner. Unlike gaseous fuels, heating oil will not support combustion (flame) unless the temperature is about 140 degrees Fahrenheit. There is not enough fuel vapor to cause an explosion or fire and it has low carbon monoxide risk.
If you have an outside tank you will want to use Kerosene or Heating Oil with an winter additive. Either of these products are used so that during the cold winter your fuel lines will not freeze. If your tank is located indoors, you will usually use heating oil.

The majority of home heating oil is sold by local dealers such as us, who live and work in your community, and believe that customer service is as important as the products we sell. Home heating oil is clean burning. Modern oil burners produce negligible amounts of smoke and soot. Oil heating equipment has always been more advanced and many equipment innovations have been developed that are revolutionizing oil heat technology. By joining our automatic delivery program, you will never have to worry about your oil levels. Our computerized calculating system automatically schedules a delivery for you. You will never need to check your oil tank. If you have any concerns, please feel free to call our office.
If you’re still unsure about your fuel levels, remember, every tank has a gauge built into the top of the tank. This gauge will give you a reading of how much oil is left in the tank.
Home oil fuel usage depends on factors such as the size of your tank, system efficiency, insulation and overall household habits like the number of inhabitants.

Yes. Carbon Monoxide is a natural byproduct of combustion. During normal combustion, each atom of carbon in the burning fuel joins with two atoms of oxygen, forming a harmless gas called Carbon Dioxide (CO2). When there is a lack of oxygen to ensure complete combustion of the fuel, each atom of carbon links up with only one atom of oxygen, forming carbon monoxide (CO) gas, a colorless, odorless, and toxic gas. Any fuel-burning appliance that is not adequately vented and maintained can be a potential source of Carbon Monoxide (CO).
The most important safeguard against CO risks is a properly working Carbon Monoxide detector. Battery-operated Carbon Monoxide detectors are relatively inexpensive and easy to install. They may be purchased at almost any store that sells home supplies.
